  I discovered this place last week and very much enjoyed my first two visits. Was excited to make Republic Coffee a regular stop as it has a good atmosphere, friendly staff, unique pastry selections, crepes, and a particularly tasty chai tea latte.
  
  On my third visit a couple of days ago I found a seat and ordered a chai tea latte to spell me as I settled on what to eat for breakfast. The latte is soon delivered in a paper cup with a lid and a sleeve. Odd, I thought. Perhaps she didn't know I was dining in. I thank her and sip the latte. The taste of it is pedestrian, at best. I am now concerned and walk up to the bar where I ask if perhaps this had been made incorrectly and describe how it had been served in a mug on my earlier visits and had an altogether different taste. I was told, in a very friendly way, that they had adopted a different base for this particular beverage. I declined a gracious offer to remake it and offered to pay. They told me it was on the house. I thanked them, left my latte sitting at the bar, and left.
  
  Bottom-line for me is, without the excellent product I enjoyed during my first two visits, this place isn't worth the walk. If I want a common Starbucks-style chai latte, i'll just go to any one of the three Starbucks I pass getting to Republic.

  Didn't know they had brunch until my friend told me about it - it's so delicious! Definitely recommend.

  Great service, awesome price, crepes are wonderful, also their latte and coffee drinks are the best I've had in college station. Also the atmosphere is great, reminds me of Austin !
